SPARK FITNESS TURNS 2!

It’s with immense joy and gratitude that we celebrate the second anniversary of Spark Fitness this month. Two years ago, we embarked on a journey with a passion to inspire and empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. We are overwhelmed with pride and excitement for the amazing progress our community has made on their fitness journeys. It has been an incredible ride filled with sweat, laughter, and triumphs, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the unwavering support and dedication shown by every member of the Spark Fitness family!

Thank you for choosing spark fitness!

We’re looking forward to another fantastic year!

spark run club

What started as a pie-in-the-sky idea has become a reality. We’re excited to introduce Spark Run Club! At least one member of the Spark Fitness staff will be participating in a local road race each month, and we’d love to have you join in the fun.

We had an amazing time last month at the Boys and Girls Club of Depew-Lancaster 46th annual 10k and two-person 5k relay. Our next event is Muddy Buffalo, happening August 26 in Colden. Read on below for more details.

more about muddy buffalo

The main event is a 5-mile course with over 30 obstacles. A mini-Muddy – 1.5 miles and 10 obstacles – is also available for both kids and adults. Visit the Muddy Buffalo website for more information and registration details. Be sure to use code SPARK20 for 20% off, and please let us know if you’re coming! We hope to see you there!

happening this month

We’re excited to bring you two new types of classes, in addition to our exclusive pop-ups. Take a look at our schedule and read about STRONG Nation and Pilates below!

pilates: august 18

Mat pilates uses minimal equipment to achieve a slow burn with small movements. This class will make you sweat!

Meghan (@meg_an120) currently teaches mat Pilates, pole dance, and mobility at The Bird’s Nest Circus Arts. She is certified in Barre Intensity. She is also a fan of hand-balancing, acroyoga, and yoga. Meghan is a former competitive gymnast, gymnastics coach, and ballet dancer.

strong nation: august 25

Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG Nation combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.

AnneMarie (@syncwarrior) will help you burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs, and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG Nation instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.

summer spin series w/jillian

We’re halfway through our Summer Spin Series, but there’s still plenty of time to join Jillian on Fridays at noon for our summer series of spin classes to get a jump start on your weekend fitness goals.

Members can sign up via the app using their membership credits; non-members can purchase classes at the drop-in rate of $8 per class.

special vendor: alchemist links

Alchemist LinkX will be in the studio on August 6 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with their beautiful permanent jewelry designs. Permanent jewelry is welded or soldered together instead of using a clasp. It has become an increasingly popular way to simplify a routine or signify something everlasting.

Call or text Alchemist LinkX at 716-501-5477 to book your slot. We can’t wait to see what you choose!

spin schedule updates

We’re making some adjustments to our spin schedule for the summer season.

  • On Wednesdays join Tony at 6:45 a.m. for a 40-minute class.
  • On Sundays, we’re dissolving our 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. classes into a 9:30 a.m. session with Zoe. We will bring back a second class in the fall.

We always appreciate your feedback so that we can better accommodate your busy lifestyle. Please take a moment to take our survey to let us know your spin class schedule preferences.
