bring a buddy

We’re in the midst of Bring a Buddy Week at Spark Fitness! Research shows that having a workout partner can help you reach your fitness goals faster. Why not grab a friend and invite them to a workout of their choice?

Through February 5, members can invite a (non-member) friend to workout for free. Tell your pal to download the Spark Fitness Buffalo app, create an account, and let us know which time you are planning on attending!

2023 spark fitness cornhole tournament

Join us on February 4 at noon for our cornhole tournament to help raise funds for IceCycle, benefiting Roswell Park cancer research. The event will be held at Titans Cornhole Club in North Tonawanda and costs $25 per person to participate.

This is a spectator-friendly event and includes great vendors and the chance to win prizes, including:

    • 50/50 raffle
    • Braids & tinsel
    • Basket raffle
    • $500 tattoo raffle
    • Food & refreshments

member spotlight

Rachel has been sparkling since day one of our studio opening, and we are so happy to see her beaming with confidence. Rachel has lost over 20 pounds, developed a love for spin, and is hitting PRs with her lifts! We love to see our members thrive!ย ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

more about Rachel

I used to do group training classes at an old gym years back, and missed it a lot. I saw what Spark Fitness had to offer on Instagram and knew I had to get back into it. I feel that I push myself a little bit harder with a group than when I’m just by myself.

What’s your favorite part about Spark Fitness? The atmosphere! I love that everyone is always chatting before and after class. Everyone is always so friendly and easy to talk to. I know it’s a little corny to say, but we’re like one big happy family!
Favorite food: Tacos ๐Ÿ˜‹

Favorite quote: โ€œDreams don’t work unless you do.โ€

Favorite hobby: Working out

Favorite exercise: Push press or deadlift

Advice to a newcomer: Consistency really is key. The first few days will be hard, but keep pushing through! Soon enough, you’ll notice things get easier and easier! You’ll be able to do moves you thought were never possible!

I’m one of the people that had to learn the hard way. I’ve been on and off with my fitness journey for years, and just in the past 3 months I’ve made more progress than I have in the past 2 years. I did it just by showing up and following my nutrition!

Great job Rachel! We can’t wait to see your continued progress!

now it’s your turn

If you’d like to see results like Rachel’s, sign up for our next 6-week challenge that starts on Monday, February 20. Contact us for more details.

pop-up stretch class

Stretchd Out Buffalo is teaming up with Spark Fitness to offer a Stretch & Restore class on February 19 at 11 a.m. that focuses on deep stretching, breathing, and mobility techniques.

Class starts with breathing techniques to help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (the system that helps us relax) then progresses into slow stretching and mobility flows. By the end of this class you will feel relaxed, restored, and hopefully will be able to take some of these movements and apply them into your daily life/workouts!

The class will be $10 for nonmembers and $5 for members. Sign up today!
