Meet Sara!

Sara is one of our original members who joined us when we opened. She always has a smile on her face (even at 5:30 a.m.) and is so friendly! She recently completed our Spring Prestige labs challenge and lost 27 pounds in 6 weeks!

We are most proud of Sara for sticking with it even when things got difficult. She is a model member and we love her so much!

Q&A WITH SARA

What can people expect working out at Spark?
A new workout everyday from trainers who are encouraging, fun, and so helpful!

How is Spark different from other gyms you’ve been to?
At regular gym I would always pretend to “workout,“ meaning I’d walk around slowly, do a machine here or there not really knowing what I was doing, and then maybe finishing with 20 minutes of cardio. I’d go maybe two times a week for like a month and then just watch as my bank account debited my membership fee without ever going. I’d eventually quit without getting anything out of it. At Spark I usually go 5 times a week and always leave sweating. And I keep coming back. I can feel myself getting stronger!

Do you feel comfortable working out here?
Always! There are all different levels of of fitness capability and no one ever makes you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. The trainers are always willing to adjust exercises for things you can’t do for any reason.

What is the staff like?
Literally the best and like family. They are so enthusiastic and friendly. Jenn will message you if you don’t show up for a while and the staff all keep pushing you.

Why did you join Spark?
Jenn made me! Lol no, my old gym closed after Covid and when she opened it she messaged me about it and I was so excited. I needed her and spark in my life. You could say I needed a new SPARK in my life, lol cheesy, I know!

Have you made progress since coming to Spark?
So for me, because of the the trainers and the workouts, it hasn’t been too difficult to keep going for workouts, but it was hard to get motivated for the nutrition. I finally decided to join a challenge through the supplement company they use and managed to lose 27 pounds in 6 weeks and 5 inches. I feel stronger than ever!

What is your favorite part about Spark Fitness?
Everything! The atmosphere, the encouragement, the workouts, the trainers and owners, and the other members. We all push each other to keep pushing and to lift heavier.

Would you recommend Spark Fitness to other people?
100,000,000% yes!!!! I don’t know where I’d be if Spark didn’t open.

What classes do you take at Spark Fitness?
I’ve tried spinning, but I’m a Spark Group person through and through.

Do you have any other things you’d like to say about Spark Fitness or the team?
Just keep going! Even if you aren’t where you want to be or can’t keep up with nutrition, just keep pushing and you’ll make progress … it’s not a race it’s a marathon and you will have pit stops and derailments along the way but don’t stop going!

best of 716 voting begins soon!

The 2023 Best of 716 voting round is open July 6-24, and Spark Fitness is in the running for Best Gym!

You can find us on the nomination site under Health & Beauty in the Gym category. You can vote for us once a day (and while you’re there, feel free to give your other favorite places a vote!).

Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support for our small business. We’re so excited to stay fit with you through summer and beyond!
